Helios & Xico Student Juried Exhibition 2024: Rites of Passage
Xico and Helios have collaborated to bring together a student art advisory council to curate an annual juried exhibition. The advisory panel consists of students and art professionals throughout the state of Arizona.
The inaugural exhibition Rites of Passage will be on exhibit at the Helios Education Campus from April 18 through July 18, 2024.
“Rites of Passage celebrates the social movement of individuals into and out of groups and or statuses of critical importance to the individual and the community.” This open-ended theme is accessible and can be interpreted uniquely with nuance by everyone. This is also a poignant personal, social, and cultural topic amongst the core demographic of high school and college-aged students.
Encouraging our young creatives to explore identity, community, culture, becoming, transitions, coming of age, belonging, phases, unity, celebration, and reflection. The inaugural exhibition features 22 pieces of artwork created by high school and college students around the state.
